History of Trade Genetics

'Where Knowledge & Technology Work In The Hands Of Professionals...'

A first artificial insemination with fresh semen was performed on the premises.

Semen collection and freezing was conducted successfully, using and American extender which is still being used today.

Canine Artificial Insemination Centre was opened in July for public.

Mobile semen freezing unit was designed, fitted and put into immediate operation in August.

First export of canine frozen semen was successfully sent to Australia containing semen from 20 different sires in one consignment.

Trade Genetics started performing transcervical inseminations by a qualified veterinarian with the frozen semen, using Karl Storz endoscope (leading endoscope manufacture in the world).

Fully licensed small animal veterinary clinic was opened onsite. Every surgical procedure since has been performed by our resident veterinarian. It is the only veterinary clinic that specialises in canine reproduction services and import and exports of canine fresh/chilled and frozen semen worldwide.

Next generation CASA system was installed for more advance semen analysis.
